Far Away Meadow

200m from the High Meadow facilities, the Far Away Meadow is the wildest of the meadow areas, with mown spaces winding between uncut grasses. While all the Croft’s views are good, these are our favourites. Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet. As the name suggests, it’s 200m uphill from the nearest car access (wheelbarrows provided) and toilets, and 400m from the café, showers, and drinking water. But we reckon that’s a small price to pay for our best wild camping experience.

The Slow Worm

New for 2025, the Slow Worm is a large open meadow area enclosed by long grass and the Slow Worm Trail. It’s the ideal spot for accessible camping just 100m from car parking and 200m from the main facilities. Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet. Kids especially will love exploring the trail on their bikes, where parents can easily keep an eye on them while still enjoying a relaxing sundowner.

Love Where You Stay

We take great care to minimise environmental impact: the lower shower block lighting runs from wind and solar power, while the upper block—with its turf roof—is completely off-grid. Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet. We’re a bit obsessed with reusing and recycling, so please separate your recyclables (almost everything!) rather than putting mixed materials in the general waste. Remember— it only becomes waste if we don’t separate and recycle it!
